Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When you fill-out one of the contact forms on the site we ask that you agree to send us your contact details. Your completed form fields are not retained on the site, you are effectively sending us an email.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

We make use of Matomo, which is website analytics software hosted and managed by ourselves. Access to Matomo is restricted to the site administrators and is not shared with any third parties.

Matomo receives data from this site regarding your visit but it’s anonymised before submission. We can’t identify you by the submitted data and no personal data is recorded.

We collect analytics data to help us understand our audience and create a better service. Information such as screen sizes, device type, length of visit provide us with an understanding of what’s popular on our site and is beneficial to future site development.

With whom do we share your data

We use Stripe to process any payments on this site. Stripe is a way to accept payments online and in mobile apps.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.

All users can see or edit their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Comments are currently disabled on the site, as are product reviews.

Details of purchases are recorded for accounting purposes but deleted after seven years.

Failed transactions are deleted after six months. Abandoned carts are not recorded.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

This website is hosted at the provider Hetzner. It runs on a secure private server managed by ourselves.

Access to the server is only possible by means of secure transport.

Our site and server are automatically monitored for malicious activity. Any unusual occurrence is notified to the site/server managers for further investigative action.
